All American Past Time

IF THIS YOUNG MAN CAN PLAY ANYONE CAN PLAY, MEET ADAM BENDER A ONE LEGGED CATCHER

"Meet the Youngsters who are playing ball in leagues around the counties in Georgia”

Baseball is a game that all the youth in our country play, on recreation teams, or on teams that are well sponsored.

Maybe they are playing for their school team, now you are in for a treat.

The Parents are the real hero’s, as they take their son’s or daughters to and from practice fields as well as the actual games.

Time and effort as well as gas are spent hauling children from different game sights. Men and Woman, all races and creeds, Mothers and proud Fathers sit and watch as “little Johnny” or their son, takes a swing and if he hits the ball, races down the first base line, jut like the many honored coaches who go "unknown and unrecognized" during a season, have taught the child to do.

The fact that “little Johnny, or Mary Sue” hit the ball is amazing in it self, and shows the skill they have had at practices, and games. They have learned to develop an eye for watching the ball, and when they hit that ball the Father and Mother or so excited, its like they were winning the 7th game of the World Series in Baseball.

It makes all the time and effort a tired Father would take at home and go out in the back yard to toss the ball with his child all worth while. You know some Fathers could care less, and then you have some that want the best for their boy or girl.

It is amazing when you think of it because the Mother is the person that takes the children to and from games, and practices.

Fathers mainly work hard all week, so that the family has the bills all paid and everyone is taken care of.

Sometimes Fathers are overlooked at what they do, I mean, sure they can’t be at every practice game or maybe even every game, but when they can they are there.

It’s almost like being at a World Series game, and your boy or girl is the star player.

Every time they are on the field you are watching there every move, and if a pop fly is hit to them, lets say in the outfield, ALL EYES focus on your child, and if he makes the catch, it is AMAZING, the loudest cheers go up and the parents come unglued. If they somehow get a hit and run down the first base line and are SAFE, you would think that your child has drove in the winning run.

Children are so precious, and Mothers and Fathers need to make sure they show them all the love they can, because it won’t be long before “little Johnny, or Mary Sue” will be leaving the nest and getting married and having young one’s just like you did, and guess what, that Little Johnny will be in his backyard playing catch, and pitch and showing his son how to hold the bat and hit a slow pitched ball.

It amazes the young Father when his son or daughter connects and you dreams start to come true.

Please don’t worry because, Johnny will be bringing his children to see you now that you have grown older. Like most grandparents, you will spoil them as much as you can get away with.

All I can say is enjoy your time while your children are growing up, and please be patient with them, and also try not to give them every thing that they see. Let them learn to share and share alike with other children, and if they can be around those children that don’t have all the things that your children have it would be a blessing to let them grow up and share their toys with those that have none.

Children are amazing, just like playing baseball, they learn from seeing others, they also learn by being around others.
You know what really amazes me is the fact, we all were little Johnny’s or little Mary Sues at one time in our life, and how did we handle it?

Think about it and let me know how your boy or girl does playing in his next game.

Many Thanks,

Tino Patti
