Report Michael Vick allowed to sign with another team
Michael Vick could be on his way back to the NFL if a team is willing to sign the former quarterback of the Atlanta Falcons.
It seems that Roger Goodell, the NFL Commissioner said that Vick could return to any team that would have him, since he has spent his time in prison and has now been released.
Why did Goodell, give Vick a 4 game suspension? Does that make sense?
According to inside sources, Vick can be purchased by another team, but he will have to sit out the first 4 games. He will however be allowed to attend training camp of the team that chooses Michael Vick.
When I read that he will have to sit out the first 4 games of the regular season, of the team that chooses him, it hit me why? The answer is simple, think about it, arrested for having his hands into the cruel and inhuman treatment of dog fighting and bank rolling the funds, now PETA was all over him when he was heading to trial, what do you think PETA will do when the team that signs him will do, I will tell you, first the team will be added to the BLACKBALL List and PETA will be all over the place, I mean, people who love animals will not want him as a player, or a spokesman of any kind.
NFL, spokesman Greg Aiello, however, told the associated press on Thursday no decisions on Vick’s future have been made.
This is a serious matter; Aiello said in a e-mail “We are engaging in a careful and thoughtful process”.
Michael Vick is fresh from serving 23 months in federal prison for dog fighting, met with Goodell Wednesday, hoping to restart his NFL career.
The two men met Wednesday afternoon in Allendale, N.J.
Sports Illustrated, reported on its Web site that Vick and Goodell were seen departing from Buckley Petersen Global, Inc. around 4 p.m.
Vick left in a Cadillac Escalade, Goodell in BMW 10 minutes later, according to SI.Com.
Eyewitnesses described the two having “somber” looks on their faces.
On Tuesday morning Vick will meet one on one with NFL Players Association executive director DeMaurice Smith.
The Same day Goodell, who suspended Vick indefectibly, said he’ll make a decision in the near future on reinstating him.
In order for Goodell to reinstate Vick, he must show remorse and convince him and the public that he is reformed.
.
The animal rights group PETA issued a statement Thursday reiterating its resistance to Vick rejoining the NFL unless he first undergoes a psychological evaluation are until a determination is made about his ability to feel empathy and contrition, the NFL would be acting irresponsibly if it offered Vick the opportunity to serve as a role model for millions of young children who look up to football players.
PETA in a statement said they will not rule out targeting any teams or league that may choose to associate with Vick!.
The players union has not taken a formal position on Vick’s reinstatement but has pledged to support him on a personal level. Vick must serve three years probation for his dog fighting conviction.
The Atlanta Falcons released Vick in June. It is unclear who would sign Vick if he were reinstated. Several teams have indicated they have “NO” interest in signing him.
NFL Training camps open for veterans next week.
Several NFL stars have shown support for Vick. Hall of fame wide receiver, Michael Irvin told the AP Vick should be reinstated. Michael Strahan, Chad Ochocino and Jamal Anderson have all posted statements supporting Vicks reinstatement on Twitter.
Ok, now that you have read about Vick could be returning, I have a question for you. Do you really think any NFL football team will ever take the chance and hire Vick as a player?
The team that does will have a hard time and PETA will hound the team that he is with, they will never let the owners of the teams down, and I mean it will be a real free for all.
I don’t care how many NFL stars come out and endorse Vick, he is still a loser, and should never play again.
What really gets me if you read earlier what Goodell the NFL commissioner said when Vick was arrested, he said he would not play “Indefinitely?” Now he is changing his mind, what does the word indefinitely mean to you?
To me it means he will “NEVER BE ALLOWED” to play football in the NFL. Then again maybe VICK has some super powers and can tell the NFL what to do.
To be really honest Michael Vick was not a great Quarterback when he was playing with the Atlanta Falcons, he was a ball hog, he was a showman, and as for passing, forget it. He was not a team player.
Now the Atlanta Falcons have moved on, have a new quarterback in Matt Ryan, who is stable in the pocket and has sense to share the ball and spread it around, also he does not scramble something you never want to see a quarterback have to do unless you want him injured.
So PETA get ready because Michael Vick is trying to make a come back, and whatever team he plays for that is the one that I will root against, because I love pets and I am a animal lover.
Sorry if this offends all the Michael Vick fans, but I write it like I see it.
Thanks
