“NOW YOU HAVE BRETT FAVRE BACK IN THE NFL”
Now we hear the Minnesota Vikings need the help of Brett Favre, and since he retired and was all teary eyed he now is smiling from ear to ear, because another team wants this quarterback is really washed up.
The one time Green Bay Packer great, has been down many roads and went to Super bowls, and has enjoyed the top of life, now he his back in the NFL with a team that says they need him. The Vikings are a team that have always been great, they have had legends on their teams, now they have a old quarterback that will probably go down some where early in the season. He is not a young man anymore, he is older, and just because your name is Brett Favre, and you once were a superstar that does not mean it can happen again.
On Monday night Oct.5 this will be a date that will live in football infamy.
That’s the night the Green Bay Packers play the Minnesota Vikings at the hearing-loss capital of the world, The Metrodome.
That is also the night Brett Favre commits “Cheese head” Treason.
Favre got what he wanted Tuesday. He got the team he craved, the salary he could live with and the NFC North Division he knows by heart. But the nanosecond he signed that two-year $25 million contract with the Vikings was the nanosecond he burned the last few remaining wooden bridges between him and the Packer fans.
Favre is 39 years old. He turns 40 five days after that Monday night game against the Packers. There are going to be times when he looks every bit of those 39/40 years. But Viking coach Brad Childress who’s no dummy, must think Favre at 40 is better than Sage Rosenfels and Travis Jackson at any age,. Favre is 39 years old. But Vikings coach Brad Childress, who's no dummy, must think Favre at 40 is better than Sage Rosenfels and Tarvaris Jackson at any age. If it doesn't work, all it will cost the Vikings is money. They'll still have Plan Sage or Plan Tarvaris to fall back on. And the franchise will pocket whatever percentage it made from all the Favre jersey sales.
This is a win-win-lose situation. It's a win for the Vikings: They get an experienced, Hall of Fame quarterback, who is familiar with the division and intimately familiar with his former franchise, which just so happens to play in that same division. It's a win for Favre: He gets a playoff-caliber team, a potential Hall of Fame running back (Adrian Peterson), a killer offensive line, an offensive system he knows by memory, a speedy X factor in Percy Harvin, a domed stadium in the dead of winter and another chance to play. It's a loss for the Packers, who were hoping Favre would simply go back to Mississippi and stay there.
What amazed me when all time great quarterback Fran Tarkenton expressed disgust by the decision the Vikings went to sign Brett Favre.
In a statement Tarkenton said “I really have no interest in what Brett Favre does. He kind of lost me years ago by retiring and un-retiring and here and there” Tarkenton went on to say “Football was a team sport, isn’t it? It’s not just about the quarterback”
Favre, who first retired in March 2008, came out of retirement and forced the Green Bay Packers -- with whom he had starred for 16 years -- to trade him to the New York Jets in August when the Packers declined to accept his un-retirement.
All I can say is this is going to be another circus and guess who will be leading the parade, that’s right Brett Favre, and I know Vikings fans may be happy now, but wait till his legs give away and he can’t make those dramatic plays as he did when he was younger, you want to hear the boo birds come out, just wait.

Brett should have enjoyed his days living at home in Mississippi, and just forgot about another
NFL team. Now when the Vikings play the Packers, there will be blood on the field.
Thanks,
