Should Michael Vick land in a lap of luxury?
Football season is approaching, and so are the aspects as to where Michael Vick land his playing days and end up with a team that want him.
Could the Steelers be crazy enough to try and use Vick?
I don’t think the Steelers need the aggravation.
Then you have the Patriots, why would a team that has a winning attitude need someone like Vick when they have Brady at QB?
I don’t think the Eagles need him, and as for the Ravens why would they need him?
Ok so the real teams that are no dead yet at looking at Vick could still be the Green Bay Packers and The Carolina Panthers.
M,
So which team will pick up Michael Vick? Despite Tony Dungy, who’s been serving as a personal adviser to Vick, saying Vick’s options are limited, expect it to be a winning team with nothing to lose by sign him.
"I would not like him as my starting quarterback," former Saints and Colts coach Jim Mora said. "But he can be a good backup, and he can be awesome in a Wildcat offense."
As a role player, he's a low-risk addition for a playoff contender. He's likely to end up with one of these six teams:
Favorites
Steelers. It takes a strong organization and leadership group to take the chance, and the Super Bowl champs have both. Mike Tomlin, with his Dungy-like demeanor, is the right coach for Vick.
Patriots. They've made it work with players with checkered pasts before, including Randy Moss. Vick, with his rare running ability, also offers the veteran versatility Bill Belichick loves
SLEEPERS
Eagles. Schematically, it makes sense for Vick to join a team with a rhythmic passing game that he can pick up quickly. There are also Vick's obvious physical similarities to Donovan McNabb.
Ravens. GM Ozzie Newsome and Coach John Harbaugh have already taken Vick's talents into consideration, and offensive coordinator Cam Cameron has the creativity to use Vick wisely
NOT DEAD YET
Packers. The team currently has a backup quarterback battle, and does not have an athlete for special packages. Although he could help the Pack on the field in many ways, they might not want to deal with the off-field distraction.
Panthers. With the rumors heating up, coach John Fox addressed whether his team was on the Vick short list on Wednesday. "I don't think we should be high on the radar, but I don't like to eliminate anything." Vick's special skills would have a place with his former NFC South rivals, but it's unlike the franchise to make such a controversial move.
Remember Michael Vick will have PETA breathing down the team that chooses him necks. There will be protest, there will be fights and there will be disagreements, can any team take the time for these problems?
Well if he returns LOOK OUT for some really big protests from all over the United States, you think this Health care is bringing out Americans; wait till Vick signs with a team, man look out.
Thanks,
Tino Patti
